Research Interests: My lab as part of a larger group of investigators at MCW is focused on understanding the role of the vascular endothelial in development of human disease including CAD and aging related decreased in coronary vascular function and the response of the circulatory system to chemotherapy. My work focuses on understanding the contribution of mitochondrial (dys)function in above mentioned clinical setting and is using rodent models in reverse transnational fashion to understand underlying mechanisms. I am also deeply interested in health disperaties in an attempt to understand how social environmental stressors contribute to poor clinical outcomes with a focus on cancer therapy induced major adverse cardiovascular events which are significant elevated in minority patient populations.
