Osama Harraz, PhD
Bloomfield Professor in Cardiovascular Research
Assistant Professor of Pharmacology
University of Vermont
Primary Research:
Research in the Harraz Lab is focused on vascular ion channels and signal transduction pathways. We use different imaging approaches (in vivo and ex vivo) and electrophysiological techniques to study vascular function in genetically engineered mouse models. A major area of interest in vascular mechanosensation in health and during neurodegenerative and small vessel diseases. Our goal is to better understand the regulation of blood flow in critical organs such as the brain, and how things go wrong in disease.
