NAVBO Trainee Awards

Travel Awards to Vascular Biology 2015
Each award is $500US
NAVBO
Up to 8 Travel Awards will be given to postdocs, graduate students, medical students or equivalent in each workshop - Signaling or Matrix Biology/Bioengineering (up to 16 awards total). You must be a NAVBO trainee member.
Rules for all travel awards:
- you must submit an abstract
- indicate that you are applying for the award on the submission form
- you must be registered for the meeting
- applications are due August 17, 2014
- awards will be announced prior to the meeting (you will receive an email in mid to late September)
- awards will be presented at the Meeting (Sunday, October 18 at 7:00pm)
- Please note – that while many trainees from a single lab may apply for the award, there can only be one recipient per lab
- Travel Award recipients can be either an oral or poster presenter
- Late-breaking abstracts will not be considered; they are received after the deadline
- Travel Award Recipients will NOT be eligible for the Outstanding Poster Awards
Outstanding Poster Awards at Vascular Biology 2015
Each award is $250US
NAVBO
Up to four Outstanding Poster Awards will be given to postdocs or equivalent in each area - Signaling or Matrix Biology/Bioengineering and four awards to graduate students or equivalent in each area - for a total of 8 awards. Must be a trainee member of NAVBO.
- presenters will be judged on site
- visual appearance, content and oral presentation will be considered
- each presenter will be evaluated and scored by at least two judges
- you must be present at your designated hour
- awards will be announced and presented at the final session on Thursday morning (October 22)
- Travel Award recipients are not eligible
- If applicable, late-breaking abstracts will be considered
